God is stirring a passion in pastors for following Jesus in the practice of disciple-making. It has been described as an identity shift, stating, "I am a disciple-maker." Another said, "we are in this for the long-haul." Simply put, "Jesus' heart for the masses drives us to invest in the individual. In order to make more disciples, we need to slow down and make better disciples."
If you identify with this passion, or would like to explore it more deeply, you are invited to join fellow pastors for this gathering hosted by Doug Halcomb and Ellis Dean at Live Oak Community Church where lunch will be provided, and the discussion will be around getting better acquainted and giving some definition to what it means to be a disciple. Contact Ellis Dean for more information and to let him know you plan to attend.
