answered prayer

I wanted to let you know, and you can pass it on to the Pray Lubbock pastors...

This weekend (Feb.8, 2009) a person contacted me and asked if $20,000 would help WeCAN (a ministry triage center for homeless/poor that networks many agencies and ministries) make it until April when we find out the response to our grant proposal.  This person knew we needed money but not how much.  I told him that was exactly the amount we had determined we needed to raise.  He said that he was distributing funds from his late father's estate and felt that this would be the kind of ministry his father would want to support and there was $20,000 available in it!  

One of the pastors prayed during the Thursday (Feb. 5 at First Church of the Nazarene) prayer time, "Lord just send the money!"  ($20,000 was specifically mentioned and prayed for) Well, he did!  It's interesting how this last week especially there have been several praying more boldly and more specifically to the Lord asking simply that the money be provided. Thought folks would want to know.
