HOW TO BECOME A
Lighthouse
of Prayer
What
Is a Lighthouse of Prayer?
- Neighbors praying for neighbors
- Workers praying for co-workers
- Students praying for fellow students
- A station from which the light of Christ shines and
directs others in the storms of life to the safe,
eternal Rock of Jesus
GOALS
To lay a prayer covering across the
city
To have a neighborhood facilitator in
every major neighborhood in our city
To pray
blessings and prepare the soil for the Lord to begin to draw
our friends to Himself
To learn names, family situations
and prayer needs to help us be more specific and more
involved in lives
To seize
Divine appointments to interact in important spiritual
matters
To bring
healing through prayer to relationships or physical needs
To share the
Hope that is in us!
How do I begin?
·
Ask
God to give you His heart of compassion for your neighbors.
·
Decide
for which people you will pray in your neighborhood,
classroom, or work place.
·
Commit
to pray for them at least once a week.
·
Pray
prayers of peace and blessing.
·
Be
alert for opportunities to let them know you are praying.
·
Ask
for specific prayer requests (felt needs).
·
As
God works in your heart and your neighborhood, share
encouraging testimonies with your pastor and other
Lighthouses of Prayer.
·
Contact
Pray Lubbock so that we can get you tied into the

Neighborhood Facilitators
Prayer evangelism is
talking to God about your neighbors before you talk to
your neighbors about God.
Do you need training?
Are you interested in resources about prayer?
Do you have a testimony about Lighthouses of
Prayer?
Pray Lubbock is a resource ministry for
pastors, leaders and intercessors.
We provide training for Lighthouses of Prayer,
intercessory groups and city reachers.
We
publish a newsletter (The Lighthouse
Flash) to inform and encourage the body of Christ.
We
would love to hear from you.
Neighborhood
Facilitators
We are recruiting 50 Neighborhood Lighthouses of
Prayer Facilitators, one from each major neighborhood in our
city. Facilitators
are existing lighthouses who wish to see every block in
their neighborhood covered in prayer and will work to see
that end. They
will pro-actively recruit lighthouses and work with Pray
Lubbock to provide training.
Pastors: suggest
facilitators by contacting us.
