Greetings:

The North American version of the Global Day of Prayer 2008 DVD is finally ready. The DVD portrays the tremendous joy and passion now rising across the earth with the Global Day of Prayer. Along with these short promo videos, there are dozens of other videos, PowerPoint presentations and documents, which are designed to equip local prayer leaders to involve their people in local GDOP gatherings.

Pentecost Sunday is just around the corner. On Sunday, May 11, as many as 250 million Christians from almost every country will unite in prayer for Christ's glory and the transformation of all nations. Public gatherings are being planned in large stadiums, churches and small auditoriums.

Help others in your city join in prayer with millions of Christians around the world on May 11, 2008. The DVD is priced so you can afford to get a copy for each church in your area to show to their congregation.

Please visit our website at www.waymakers.org to order the DVD, Ten-Day Prayer Guides or posters.

Yours in hope,

Update #2

Dear praying friend,

With less than 60 days until May 11, 2008, excitement is building all around the globe. Many nations are busy mobilizing their countries and communities. Reports are coming in of growing numbers of events.

Don’t wait to register your event.

The vision of the Global Day of Prayer international committee is to see all 220 nations of the world participate in this year’s Global Day of Prayer. Currently 186 nations have registered to participate. Let’s work diligently in the US to see every community praying on Pentecost.

Remember that the process of deepening relationships between leaders and people of different churches is far more important than the actual event. We rejoice to hear reports of many thousands gathering in some cities. It's even more significant when believers press on to pray, serve and obey Christ in these crucial days, even if their observances seem meager compared with other gatherings.

It's not too late to cast the vision afresh among local leaders. Simple gatherings are not difficult to organize even with short lead-time.

Please do not delay in registering your intentions to organize any kind of community observance of the GDOP. Visit: www.gdopusa.comWhen you register online, your event will be listed among the many others in our nation and this will help encourage Christians in your area to join with you.

It's refreshing to recognize that the simple focus of the Global Day of Prayer is the glory of Christ and His transforming work to bring about the blessing of the nations. Toward this end we pray, and for His glory we are working.

Yours in hope!
